Vince McManhon doesn’t like Twitter

WWE has been increasing the amount of Twitter use among its superstars lately in order to get more people interested.

I am sure you have noticed that many wrestlers’ entrance graphic showing their names also shows their Twitter handle, if they have one. You have probably also noticed that Michael Cole is constantly talking about Twitter in regards to other people’s accounts as well as what is trending worldwide related to WWE. WWE Raw Active you get it.

The reason the RAWactive Twitter poll with Daniel Bryan and Kane was featured on Monday’s RAW after not being featured for several weeks is because Vince McMahon was not there. Triple H was in charge this week and it’s said that he “kind of likes” Twitter.

Vince hates Twitter and while he realizes it’s a part of WWE’s social media efforts, he believes it is a tool for his talents to say some really stupid things in public. He particularity doesn’t like superstars which like to speak out having this tool.

*cough* CM Punk *cough*

Since Twitter took off a few years ago, more wrestlers have gotten on the social network, and the WWE has used it to further storylines, like John Cena and the Rock’s current program going into next year’s WrestleMania.

Vince is not on the site himself. Neither is Stephanie or his son-in-law, Triple H.

Stephanie, being a behind-the-scenes employee, would have less to gain from using Twitter, but Vince and Triple H could use it to their advantage quite well.

Triple H is still one of the more popular people in WWE despite not wrestling that much, and having him on Twitter would make for not only some hilarious remarks, but also for some good storylines. His humor would most certainly be appreciated amongst the Twitterverse as well.

Vince would also benefit from having a Twitter, even if he just had some intern posting his messages. Vince is currently being used sparingly on television, but a Twitter account would allow him to stay relevant in the minds of younger fans.

If only Vince could reach out and give us a piece of his mind… i’m sure he’d say “some really stupid things in public” 🙂

Update: CM Punk ‘Fools Universe’ In X-Ray Stunt

CM Tweeted: Tuesday: 22:55 (GMT)

“Suckers. Was a chest X-ray for a physical so I can go up in an F-18. Remember who pulls the strings. #BITW

I wonder if we will get any cool pics of that… Lets hope 🙂Image

CM Punk Undergoing X-Rays

WWE Champion CM Punk tweeted a message on indicating that he might be injured.

“I am getting X-rays. Thought you should know. @davemeltzerWON #scoop”

Does this have anything to do with punk limping around last night on Raw. Will this be using as an angle for CM Punk to drop the title to Ryback at TLC? Nahhh.

Lets just hope this isn’t too serious.

Daniel Bryan Should Have Faced CM Punk

Last Night On Raw WWE had a raw active vote on who should face champion CM Punk

Daniel Bryan or Kane… Now to me I thought this was great another Punk Vs. Bryan macth great! and it will finally show Daniel Bryan is not the weak link and he is being very very underplayed almost hidden away from the fact he is of world champion quality. Not that I don’t like Team Hell No, their segments a brilliant.

However this was not the case, Kane one? Okay I thought this might be close due to D-Bryan being played down but not lose?

However turns out I was right… Daniel Bryan actually won the RAW Active poll to determine who would wrestle CM Punk in the main event of the Monday’s Raw according to Hashtagbattle. #WWEBryan had 585 tweets, while #WWEKane had 408 tweets. In response, Bryan posted the following on Twitter:

“Hmmm… I smell corruption! “This week: #WWEBryan 585 – 408 #WWEKane http://t.co/lYlOERm5 via @hashtagbattle”

Now I know storyline… battle for supremacy between Team Hell No but I was genuinely shocked that this happened even if Kane really won the battle for the votes.

Also, Daniel Bryan and Ray Misterio was still great.

CM Punk Can’t Lose To Ryback, Thats The Bottom Line Because The Rock Said So?

Now apparently the latest news coming out about CM Punk is that  Vince McMahon has only been supportive of CM Punk keeping the WWE Title for so long is because of The Rock wanted him to?

Now lets think about that for a second, Mr McMahon being told what to do by The Rock, I doubt even the great one would get away with that however on the other hand The Rock brought McMahon ‘the millions’ last year  at WM and I’m not talking about the fans.

McMahon was said to be very supportive of CM Punk holding on to the title at Survivor Series because he’s worried if the title gets put on someone different, The Rock might have an issue with it.

I’m sorry ‘might’ I think McMahon would have a pretty strong idea, I know he’s getting on a bit but come on!

CM Punk vs. Rock at Royal Rumble has been teased since the summer and is something The Rock agreed to do. Vince reportedly doesn’t want to upset The Rock by changing things last minute regarding the creative plans for 2013.

So in conclusion, there is no chance that Ryback will get the belt… Unless Vince wants picks his Ryback push over annoying The Rock? and ill be honest here, I wouldn’t put it past him.

The only thing that stops be believing this match is pointless is the fact that it is so obviously pointless.

CM Punk Would Have Ruled In The Original ECW

“I’ve been the best ever since day one when I walked into this company, and I’ve been vilified and hated since that day because Paul Heyman saw something in me that nobody else wanted to admit.  That’s right, I’m a Paul Heyman guy.”

CM Punk has never shied away from the fact that he owes his career to the creator of Extreme Championship Wrestling. It was through the resurrected version of ECW under the WWE umbrella where Punk first found success in the company.

Years later, we have watched Punk rewrite the history books of the WWE Championship.

It has been nearly 12 years since the original incarnation of ECW went bankrupt and finally folded, after a long battle with two companies much bigger and wealthier than the Little Philadelphia Promotion That Could.

The reach of ECW’s influence is immeasurable, and wrestling today would not be the same had Paul Heyman not been at the helm.

Had CM Punk been born just a few years earlier, he would most definitely have played a key factor in the success of Extreme Championship Wrestling.

First and foremost, CM Punk remains a Paul Heyman guy.

Heyman demanded that Punk be brought up from Ohio Valley Wrestling, WWE’s developmental territory at the time, with both his name and character intact, as soon as he was ready to debut for the new version of ECW. Back before the days of YouTube and social media, wrestling relied on the art of tape-trading and simple word-of-mouth marketing to bring in new talent and create new stars.

Had Heyman caught the scent of CM Punk, who began his professional career in IWA Mid-South in Louisville, Kentucky (founded by ECW alumnus Ian Rotten), it would only have been a matter of time before he was brought him into the ECW Arena and made him into one of the newest sensations.

Making a character out of his straight-edge lifestyle and rubbing it in the face of people whom he considered beneath him would have worked incredibly well in almost any venue. In the heart of South Philly, where the audience reveled in violence and pure wrestling, Punk could have turned into the company’s top heel overnight.

Punk was involved in a feud with Raven during his time with Ring of Honor in 2003. It was a feud which saw Punk compare Raven to his father, starting a bitter rivalry that finally saw Punk defeat Raven inside a steel cage in November of that year.

It’s entirely conceivable that this could have taken place inside an ECW event years earlier, molding Punk into the performer we know now, and allowing the character of Raven to naturally evolve in a free environment.

Who else could he have personally attacked for their lifestyle choices and wrestling styles?  The Sandman comes to mind, as does Tommy Dreamer and a multitude of other men who passed through ECW and made a name for themselves by brutalizing each other until the canvas looked like a section of Hell.

One battle I would like to have seen while still a viable option would have been Cactus Jack/Mick Foley vs. Punk. In the late ’90s and even the early 2000s, this would have been incredible. Today, however, I feel sad whenever I see Foley hobble into the ring just to speak. I pray he doesn’t try and wrestle again.

Punk no doubt would have reveled in the notoriety that came with the ECW name. For all the controversy that he sparked for mocking Jerry Lawler’s heart attack, he would not only have the ability to generate 10 times the heat in a Paul Heyman-run company, he would have the same desire.

Had he been able to start a Straight-Edge Society in ECW and attempt to convert people in small venues one at a time, he would have been chased out of buildings.

This is not to say I don’t like what he has been doing for years in WWE.  Coming as far as he has and holding the WWE Championship for over a year has been nothing short of incredible to watch, and after next Monday he will dethrone John Cena in his continuing conquest of the longest reign with the title.

Still, it’s fun to imagine what could have happened if Heyman had discovered Punk before anybody else.

Is CM Punk Part of the NXT Invasion Not?

WWE champion CM Punk has twice been helped by NXT Wrestling stars Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, but it is still unclear if they are working for Punk or if they have ulterior motives.

When push comes to shove, the “NXT Three” figure to be revealed as Punk’s insurance policy.

Rollins, Ambrose and Reigns burst onto the scene at Survivor Series as Ryback appeared to be on the verge of winning the WWE championship. He had already taken out Punk with Shell Shocked and had done the same to John Cena, but the promising trio stormed the ring dressed entirely in black and powerbombed Ryback through the announce table. This allowed Punk to pin Cena and retain the title.

Ryback attempted to crash Punk’s year-long title reign celebration the next night on Raw, but he was once again foiled by the “NXT Three.” Rollins, Ambrose and Reigns powerbombed Ryback through the announce table for a second time and ended the show standing tall in the ring while Punk stood over Ryback with the WWE championship in his grasp.

Punk appeared to be surprised by the “NXT Three” attack on Monday night as he looked at Paul Heyman and they exchanged a shrug, but the evidence is clearly pointing toward a partnership of some kind. Punk has been lucky to escape with the title at each of the past three pay-per-views, and it seems likely that Heyman enlisted the help of some young upstarts to make it possible.

One clue in favor of that theory is that Heyman essentially tricked Ryback into showing up at Punk’s celebration. Earlier in the night, he invited Ryback to attend, which seemed odd since both he and Punk are generally afraid of the monstrous man. The only way that would make sense, though, is if Heyman had set up the attack ahead of time and knew that Rollins, Ambrose and Reigns would be there.

Also, the rumored name of the NXT triumvirate is “The Shield,” which is what the Spanish announce team called them at Survivor Series. Many fans are upset about the proposed name and think it’s stupid, but it makes perfect sense. If Rollins, Ambrose and Reigns are aligned with Punk, then they are basically acting as a shield to deflect Ryback and prevent him from getting to Punk and taking his WWE championship.

Rollins, Ambrose and Reigns are scheduled to be interviewed by Michael Cole on the upcoming edition of Raw. While the interview may reveal the true intentions behind their actions, it’s entirely possible that they’ll deny any involvement with Punk and Heyman. Brad Maddox said his reasoning behind taking out Ryback at Hell in a Cell was so that he could become a star, and “The Shield” may say something similar.

Even so, I’m still convinced that Maddox is working with Punk and Heyman as well. Heyman spoke with Maddox prior to his $1 million contract match against Ryback a couple of weeks ago and the nature of that discussion has yet to be revealed. Either Heyman was already working with him at that point or he used that conversation to set up something down the line, such as Maddox joining “The Shield” in the near future.

As things currently stand, it appears very likely that Punk will defend the WWE championship against Ryback in a tables match at TLC. Ryback has been put through a table twice in the past eight days and that is more than just a coincidence.

If that is the case, look for Vince McMahon to ban “The Shield” from the match. He could put forth a stipulation that states if Rollins, Ambrose or Reigns interfere in the match, Ryback automatically wins the WWE championship.

That would seemingly put Punk and Heyman in an impossible situation, but it could lead to the return of Maddox and perhaps even the long-anticipated return of Brock Lesnar at TLC.

On the ensuing Raw, a heel stable of Punk, Heyman, Rollins, Ambrose, Reigns, Maddox and Lesnar would be revealed and the odds would suddenly be stacked against The Rock at the Royal Rumble.

The WWE has waited for a very long time to debut Rollins, Ambrose and Reigns, and I doubt that they would be thrust into the spotlight without big plans already in place.

Allowing “The Shield” to go off on its own without the tutelage of Punk and Heyman would be a big mistake, as the fans likely wouldn’t care enough about the group in that situation.

With Punk and Heyman doing the talking for them, however, it would be impossible for Rollins, Ambrose and Reigns not to get over. There have certainly been some instances in the past where the WWE has squandered young talent, but these guys are considered can’t-miss prospects and won’t suffer the same fate.

Why CM Punk Is Going To Lose The WWE Championship

I believe CM Punk is not going to hold his WWE Championship much longer.

CM Punk is on his way to surpassing John Cena’s 380 consecutive days as WWE Champion, which will place CM Punk as sixth, yes sixth, all time on the longest WWE Championship reigns, bumping Cena to seventh. CM Punk will surpass Cena on Wednesday, December 5 on Main Event. After he passes Cena, he’s essentially finished passing people on the WWE Title reign list. Pedro Morales is fifth, at 1,027 days.

There simply is absolutely no possibility of CM Punk holding the championship until Friday, September 12, 2014. So, after passing Cena, there would be no one left to pass on that list within reason, meaning WWE can afford to take the title off of him without leaving anyone left for Punk to catch on the longest reigns list. The number of days, at that point, simply won’t matter anymore.

Speaking of the length of CM Punk’s title reign, I want everyone to remember the number 434.  That’s the day of his title reign on which he will defend his WWE Championship against the Rock at the Royal Rumble. It is also, I believe, the number that we will see on the lists of longest WWE Championship reigns. That’s right. I predict that Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson, part-timer and movie star, will win the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble. It makes perfect sense. After all, the WWE is most interested in making a lot of money.

Last year’s WrestleMania was the most profitable ever for WWE. Why then would Vince McMahon be shy to produce Rock vs. Cena Part 2 for the WWE Championship. That match gives Vince exactly what he craves: mainstream media attention.

Hardcore fans may salivate over CM Punk vs. the Rock, or Punk vs. Undertaker, or Punk vs. whoever. The fact is, the Rock vs. John Cena Part 2 for the WWE Championship will drive an enormous buy rate.

The Rock will be promoting G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Fast and Furious 6, two huge movie releases, with the WWE Title over his shoulder. He’ll be on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, interviewed on the Red carpet, TMZ, Entertainment Tonight, you name it and he’ll be on it. That will be at the exact same time he and John Cena (who will win the Royal Rumble) are building up for what is sure to be billed as “The Biggest Rematch in WrestleMania History.”  The casual fan and mainstream buy rate will be huge. Vince simply won’t pass up the opportunity for free mainstream publicity.

Unfortunately, that brings me back to the number 434. I, myself, will be upset to see this happen, since I am a big Punk fan, but it just makes financial sense for WWE to do it. Again, don’t mistake my prediction for desire. I want CM Punk to have his WrestleMania Moment, and by that I mean a win in the closing match where he wins/retains the WWE Championship. He’s an excellent wrestler who deserves his moment, but I doubt this will be the WrestleMania.

Don’t worry fellow CM Punk fans. Punk will be feuding with Stone Cold Steve Austin at some point, and WWE could easily put the title right back on Punk at Extreme Rules in May of 2013, letting Punk hold the title for another long title run, possibly leading to a main event match at WrestleMania 30.

There are lots of possibilities, but Punk as Champion at WrestleMania XXIX isn’t one of them. Expect to see CM Punk lose the title to the Rock at the Royal Rumble, ending his reign at 434 days.  But hey, that’s still two months away.  And as Jerry “the King” Lawler used to say “anything can happen in the World Wrestling Federation!”

Should CM Punk Join The NXT Invasion?

The NXT Invasion does seem to have givin CM Punk a hand to defeat Ryback and I cant understand if they NXT guys wanted to  ‘make a statement’ they didnt attack Punk aswell? Although that could be said for Brad Maddox aswell.
Previous Story of Brad Maddox:

Brad Maddox push? Could WWE make something of this? Ryback to be beaten Again?

Although the WWE Champion CM Punk never spent any time on NXT, he was involved in OVW which at that time was pretty much NXT, it was WWE’s developmental ground and at the time run by Paul Heyman. So the guy knows what is like to break through. In Punks Best In The World DVD he says that he was disappointed to have to go into OVW after being a star in the independent scene prior to debuting in WWE.

CM Punk has denied being in cahoots with Brad Maddox, but we have yet to learn regarding any relationship with Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.

When the WWE NXT Invasion develops into an official stable, no one will be surprised to see CM Punk as the leader.

CM Punk has proven to be a great leader. He led the New Nexus until his contract expired following Money in the Bank 2011.

In addition, he led the Straight Edge Society, which was unfortunately cut short. This was the perfect stable for Punk to lead based on his character. Punk discusses in his recently released DVD that he wished he was able to do more with the SES.

The WWE NXT Invasion would be wise to not just include CM Punk, but allow him to lead them to the main-event level of the company.

CM Punk does like to boost the underdogs and push the company to give the young guys some TV time. Here is CM Punk on NXT celebrating with Seth Rollins back in August and there werehttps://picturesofcmpunk.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php parallels drawn between the two back then.

Also another Fun video for you, CM Punk’s Rookie (Darren Young, from The Prime Time Players) takes on NXT Rookie Skip Sheffield (Ryback)

But should he join in, perhaps also Heyman could bring in Brock Lesner too?

CM Punk: Just As Bad As John Cena?

Came across an interesting statement today:
CM Punk is the worst thing going in WWE right now along with Cena.

As this shocked my and I certainly don’t believe this to be true, I hate to admit, there are some pretty decent points to be made.

The WWE has actually done a lot for CM Punk (Even though he may deserve it)
Look what WWE has done to make punk a top star –
1. They allowed him to shoot that famous promo last year, when he could say whatever he wanted.
2. They put him over Cena multiple times.
3. They allowed him to ‘steal’ Jericho’s gimmick and allowed him to go over him.
4. They forced Bryan to job him many times even when he was the hottest commodity in the WWE or I should say in whole wrestling world.
5. They’re giving him most lengthy Title reign in recent memory.
6. They allowed Punk to close historic RAW 1000.
7. They allowed him to feud with a Mega Superstar The Rock.
8. They allowed him to have war of words with SCSA and teased us a future match.
9. He became 1st man to not lose the Title in a MITB contract cash in.
10. They allowed him to carry the show by his own.

AND Instead of all this What WWE has Got from Punk ? Lowest ratings in last 15 years!

Although the entire show’s ratings cannot be  solely on the shoulders of Punk? During this whole ratings downturn the person with the most TV time has been Cena, the push of Sheamus who has never caught fire like some of the past WHC’s.

In my opinion CM Punk is pretty much the only reason I watch WWE. I highly doubt I would be if he wasn’t there. I believe the rating slump would be much worse without him ‘carrying the show’
